What's my story? Well, it all started about a decade ago when I was first introduced to the awesomeness of the event industry. In 2013, I was voted into the position of WNC Programming Chair for a non-profit that was (and still is!) very close to my heart. From there I began to dedicate my time to planning and programming a huge convention with over 900 guests and over 45 different workshops!  At the time, as a young 20-something year old, I was just donating my time to a project I really cared about and trying my best to create a great experience for all who attended, but this was when I realized just how awesome it felt to be involved in a group project... where the end result is a big party!

While holding the beloved Programming Chair position I began the journey towards higher education. Like many, I did not know what I wanted to "be" when I grew up...but I figured college was a good place to start. In the story of my life, this started a whole new chapter for me. At the University of North Carolina of Asheville, NC I dedicated my time to entrepreneurship and learning the ins and outs of small business operation. I also began offering freelance event planning services, not really knowing if people would hire me, but believing that trying to make a career out of something I enjoyed was worth a shot. Then the craziest thing happened - people did hire me.

 

So, where am I now? You can find me planning a dreamy wedding, hosting nightlife events downtown for the general public, working with non-profits to throw an awesome fundraiser, or creating a 12 foot tall balloon arch for a themed birthday. I guess at the end of the day, I decided when I "grew up" that I could do All the Things, and I intend to do just that!
